Day 13 - Fort William Scotland UK

LOCH NESS

Ah, the joys of traveling come flooding back. Washing dirty knickers whilst one showers is always a pleasure but getting two young children to do likewise - now there's a challenge. I love them dearly but I draw the line to scrubbing whatever they leave behind in their undies.

We took a leisurely walk around the small town of Ullapool after trying haggis with our breakfast. Both the kids and I had some but K refused - something about it interfering with her diabetes - hum.

We then drove to Inverness and after several attempts of getting K into a dentist the third proved successful. After a small wait she appeared victorious with the valuable anti-biotics she had been seeking for over a week. The total cost of consultation including anti-biotics? £26 (about $37) from a private dentist. Now my tooth seems to improve then pain again but we couldn't push our luck and get me in as well so I will just suffer in silence.

Onward we drove to Fort William where we are staying the night at an old hotel that is a little more up-market than we are used too. There goes the budget. Tomorrow we continue south.
