Day 11 - John O' Groats Scotland UK

Kinlochlaggan provided a winter wonderland during our stay. Now we are leaving we are given sunshine - the first of which we have seen since leaving Australia. Talk about perfect timing.

We drove about four odd hours north along the east coast past some spectacular scenery. A sign on the road cautioned us about otters crossing but alas we did not see any. Had a coffee break at Golspie and a great chat to the cafe owner about things to see in the area.

We arrived at John o' Groats at 4.30 and are staying at the Seaview Hotel - a humble place that will serve us travellers well. It is fairly barren here, quiet and cold. Despite this, it is quite beautiful and we are at the top of the UK and can clearly see the Orkney Islands.

The Internet is soooo slow around this neck of the woods so uploading images times out and I'm lucky to even post anything.

We will explore this area a little more tomorrow and start traveling south along the west coast towards Wales.
