Not much to report today. We took one last walk around the square and over the bridge in Heidelberg before we took the 340 klm drive to Munich. We are staying at the Holiday Inn which is quite swanky. We decided to shop for dinner at Lido (a type of Aldi) as the prices at the restaurant are outrageous. Breakfast for us is €80 about $100 a day so it's back to Corn Flakes. Most things in Germany are very expensive and they appear unaffected by their neighbour's woes.
Munich was the official capital of the Nazi Movement, it's birthplace and headquarters. It is the nursery of a movement that would shake humanity. Tomorrow we will visit Dachau Concentration Camp. Tilly is apprehensive about this after visiting the Sinti and Roma Museum and we are in two frames of mind whether she should go but we believe the experience of visiting the historical authenticity of the original surviving buildings and structures at Dachau is really important.
