Day 28 - Paris France

ImageImageImageImageImageImageImage

It is a month today we left for this holiday which means we're a third of the way through - it's going quick. Our last day in Paris is one of sadness but also nervousness as I am dreading driving through the city. We pick up a hire car tomorrow which is naturally left hand drive and a manual. I have to get my mind into driving on the other side of the road on the other side of the car and in mad traffic. I'm sure it will all be good - fingers crossed.

K has been wanting to see Basilique du Sacre-Coeur that sits on the only hill in Paris. It was a good hour uphill walk where the views of Paris are spectacular. It took 40 years to build which is a drop in the ocean compared to Notre Dame that took over 200 years.

We then walked and shopped in Montmartre - a beautiful little place with shops and pubs. Whilst having a coffee, we were hassled to have our pictures drawn by nine different artists who found the word no hard to respect. K has taken many photos on her iPhone which show our walking adventure today. K also had to have an eclair which she tells me is diabetic friendly. There were many beautiful and colourful buildings on the way to and from the Basilique.

Tomorrow we head to Trier Germany.
