The weather is everything when traveling and we have hit the jackpot today. This is the first day of full sun that has lasted all day since we left Australia. We are even down to t-shirts for the very first time.
We started with a visit to Porta Nigra - the worlds best preserved Roman city gate built in the second century. It stands four stories high, is quite large and very complete. We climbed it which means it still remains a solid structure after almost 1900 years.
We then walked for some time along the Moselle Embankment - a walkway along the river where couples gather with their mini BBQs to eat, play and canoodle. Across the Moselle River in the cliffs were there are many humpies built by the homeless.
The kids played in a park for quite some time before we strolled back to the hotel. Tomorrow we're off to another country but just for the day to Luxembourg.
