Last night K and I ventured out on our own and listened to some great music at the Diocletian's Palace built between the 3rd and 4th centuries. This is an open air area where last time we were here in 2010 they held waltzes. One can sit on a cushion with a wine or beer in hand listening to some wonderful music.
The kids are becoming really travel savvy as they are very good at crossing the crazy roads in Italy and ducking and diving between Vespa's whilst pulling their bags with backpacks.
We went through the Diocletian's Palace substructure which included the bonus of a photographic display from the 2013 World Press Awards which was just terrific. We explored more of the area and I ended up getting a haircut which was only $AU8.00. It certainly is much cheaper here.
After a lovely dinner we sat in the vestibule at the Diocletian's Palace with a wine and listened to some great live music. As I have said this is an open area that is about 1700 years old. What a great atmosphere. This is the life!
