I've been meaning to thank everyone for your kind comments, encouragement and emails. It means a lot to hear from you. After looking about the old town, we walked the wall which is decayed in parts and has virtually no tourists.
We then decided to climb the hill to the Kotor Fortress. This climb ascends 1200 meters with 1350 stairs to climb. K and Tilly only made it about the third of the way leaving Finn and I to climb the remainder. Finn and I climbed through a hole and walked a goats track to a 15th century abandoned church and town. We were the only ones as the few other people around kept going to the fortress. It took an hour to get to the top of the fortress and the views were spectacular up there. Upon return K and I sat on the terrace over looking Kotor Bay polishing off a bottle of wine - just magic.
This is our last day here as we head to Bitola in Macedonia tomorrow on the overnight bus.
