Travel tip #4 when travelling with children:
Always buy the adult tickets first. We bought train tickets via a machine for the kids then purchased ours which included up to three children so we wasted our money.
So today we travelled to Marienplatz station and joined the Munich City free walking tour. I learned so much about Germany. It was eerie to walk where Hitler had and to stand next to where he planned the annihilation of the Jewish race.
But Munich is also known for BMW, the 1972 Olympics and Oktoberfest and therefore beer. Not being a beer drinker I wasn't particularly interested but we did have lunch at the HofbrÀuhaus - one of the most traditional beer halls that helped to shape the city’s beer culture. Tilly became upset with K after she ordered two beers and refused to talk to her for several hours later.
After lunch the kids and I climbed the 307 steps of the tower of St. Peter's church for an amazing view over Munich. It is claimed that on a clear day (not today) one can see for 100 kilometers. We did get to see the Town Hall's glockenspiel in action - it only goes off three times a day.
We leave Germany tomorrow for Salzburg Austria.

Can anyone help me order?
