I'd like to make an amendment. It was actually St. Mark's Square we were in - not St.Peter's - thanks Pam. There has been too many St's and squares that I get confused.
We had breakfast again with Silvana Appendino from Turino, her sister and niece. We talked for some time and exchanged contact details. They insisted that we come and stay whilst in Italy and they would show us around. Such nice people.
We caught the ferry to Murano based on Jenny G's suggestion - thanks Jenny. This island is renowned for it's glass making but I think a bit of a place for the girls as they stopped at each shop just about. Finn and I were not that into it but the glass blowing was interesting.
We then caught another ferry to Burano based on Kellie H's suggestion - thanks Kellie. Burano is known for its brightly coloured houses set against canals. Absolutely beautiful. The ferry rides are always interesting as they jam as in many people as possible where it is a wonder it floats.
Tomorrow - more of paradise. Will post pics tomorrow.
